About DOY

Doy was born and raised in the Philippines. Following graduate studies in Boston, she moved to New York for a career in investment banking, which was to last ten years.

This career eventually took her to London. After marriage and subsequently having three children, she decided to leave investment banking and pursue her love of jewellery design and manufacture. She designs mainly in semi-precious gems and pearls, incorporating a variety of modern and classical themes. More recently Doy has launched her own fine jewellery range of rose cut diamond pieces as well as the funky FLEX collection in silver and rubber.

With a growing international client base, Doy then began to supply various boutiques, including most recently Bergdorf-Goodman in New York, with her unique designs. Further inspiration came from past periods ranging from art-deco to the 1960's, with the view that a classic element in the jewellery would ensure it's wearability and longevity.

The colours utilised in her ranges vary as natural materials are available and are incorporated into collages that suit the modern fashion ensemble. Doy's designs recognise that our lifestyles are increasingly informal and can be worn as comfortably with a t-shirt as with a dinner dress. Many of the pieces are multifunctional - for example necklaces that may be worn as chokers, belts or scarves. This adaptability means the jewellery can be used to compliment a variety of clothing styles and individual preferences.

Doy has enjoyed a high profile in London, receiving continued media interest. A successful two-year advertising campaign featuring 'Doy Boys' on London buses has ensured her public presence. She has also enjoyed popular private exhibitions in Sweden, Switzerland, France and New York and is carried in stores around the world.
